Abstract
The preparation of hydroxam-collagen from collagen is described. It has a molecular weight of about 20,000 and is soluble in aqueous media. It is antigenic in rabbits. Cross-reactions of such sera with other collagen preparations are described. There is no species specificity. Antibodies of this kind are found in the sera of many cases of rheumatoid arthritis. Keywords
