Abstract
This paper describes a process for the fabrication of grain‐oriented PbBi2Nb2O9 ceramics. A molten salt technique was used to synthesize crystallites of PbBi2Nb2O9 with a high degree of shape anisotropy. Tape casting and subsequent uniaxial hot‐pressing resulted in ceramics with grain orientation of >90% with densities >96% theoretical. Keywords
