Abstract
This technical note reviews the application of a simple pairwise comparison method to multi-objective subjective evaluation problems and reports the results of an experiment exploring the use of linguistic scales in soliciting responses for Saaty's pairwise comparison method. The experimental results also illustrate the usefulness of a subjective evaluation technique in structural engineering. Keywords
