Angular Distribution of Photopions from Deuterium

Abstract
Measurements have been made on the relative cross section of positive pions made by 350-Mev bremsstrahlung for deuterium and hydrogen for laboratory angles between 30° and 90°. The ratio of the differential cross sections is essentially a constant to about ±5%. The mean pion laboratory energy of 75±5 Mev was held constant for the different angles. The results compare qualitatively with those obtained from Watson's phenomenological theory for photopion production.
