Abstract
INTESTINAL stomas are usually easy to care for because of new appliances and materials that lend themselves to a variety of stomas. Each colostomy, ileal bladder and ileostomy has its own characteristics, and each behaves differently at different times, depending upon many factors. Fatigue, disease, emotions and the normal variety of foods eaten daily can have a profound effect on a stoma and its function.
