Abstract
Contributions to the magnetic hyperfine splitting from the combination of electronic spin-orbit interactions and orbital interactions of the unpaired electron with the nuclear spins have been shown to be considerable by Schoemaker for the center. It is the purpose of this paper to indicate another contribution which arises from the dipole-dipole interaction of the unpaired electron with the nuclei and from the spin-orbit interaction. The magnitude of this term is of the same order as that previously considered.
