Abstract
The polymers deposited from the vapors of pentane, ethylene, butadiene, benzene, styrene, and naphthalene subjected to glow discharge have been analyzed by infrared absorption techniques. The reaction products show unsaturation, hydrogenation, and branching in the polymer chains. Aromaticity is present only in polymers from aromatic monomers. Keywords
