Abstract
We describe an experimental model consisting of an anharmonic chain of magnetic pendulums acting under gravity. This is a simple paradigm for the study of moving breathers in a discrete system. These highly mobile and strongly localized dynamically stable oscillating states are observed experimentally and studied both analytically and numerically. Keywords
