Abstract
The synthesis of fluorocarbon–gold complexes from Ph3PAuMe is described, including the preparation of binuclear species [Ph3PAu]2(AB)[AB =(CF3)2CO, (CF3)2CNH, and (CF3)2C2]: whereas the gold–carbon bond in Ph3PAuC2F4Me is cleaved by bromine, a gold(III) complex Ph3PAu(C2B10H10Ph)(Br)2 is obtained from Ph3PAu(C2B10H10Ph), an example of a very stable new class of organogold(I) compound. Keywords
