Abstract
Propagation of horizontally polarized shear waves in periodically triple-layered, elastic medium is studied by using Floquet’s theorem. The dispersion relation is characterized. The propagation and attenuation of harmonic waves inside and outside the Brillouin zones are identified. Variation of the spectrum following the modification of the comparative mechanical properties of the three layers is also examined.This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
