A Photographic Technique for the Detection of Presumptive Biochemical Mutants

Abstract
The layer plate detection technic of Lederberg and Tatum is modified so that instead of laborious hand-marking of mutant types, photographs are taken at the proper exposure periods, thus making available permanent records of mutants. Care should be exercised to have clear agar and petri dishes with unscratched bottoms.
