Abstract
An unusual case of pancreatic carcinoma with components of poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma and islet cell tumor is reported. Histologic, immunocytochemical, and ultrastructural evidence of ductal, endocrine, and exocrine (acinar) differentiation is presented. The implications with regard to endocrine cell differentiation and the histogenesis of pancreatic neoplasms are discussed. This publication has 18 references indexed in Scilit:
