Abstract
Data for simultaneous capture and ionization in helium by , , and are compiled and analyzed in terms of direct and rearrangement mechanisms at high projectile velocity. Some new data for and are presented and a similarity in the ratio of cross section for capture and ionization to single capture plus capture and ionization for projectiles of charges Z=2 and 8 is noted.
