Abstract
Retrograde arteriography was used in 15 patients in whom the diagnosis of coarctation of the aorta had been made on clinical findings. The injn. was made into the left common carotid artery in all cases. 70% diodrast gave the most satisfactory results. The examination was satisfactory in 13 of the 15 cases. In one patient a hematoma developed in the wound; there have been no other complications. In 9 of the patients the exact location, degree, and extent of the stenosis were visualized, and these findings were confirmed at operation. Keywords
