Abstract
Structure of a new antibiotic, empedopeptin, was determined. It is a cyclic depsipeptide composed of 2 mol of D-serine and 1 mol each of .beta.-hydroxytetradecanoic acid, L-arginine, D- and L-proline, L-3-hydroxyproline and D- and L-.beta.-hydroxyaspartic acid. The sequence of these moieties was established by partial hydrolysis and mass spectral analysis of the antibiotic. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
