A N Bound State and the K-d -> p - Reaction

Abstract
We calculate the Λp invariant-mass distribution in the K-d →Λp π- reaction. It is shown that the second Λp enhancement just below the N threshold is mainly due to the ΣN bound state, which is in the 3S1 state with the “binding energy” →3 MeV, very similarly to the deuteron, and is little mixed with the Λp state. The first Λp enhancement just above the Λp threshold is explained by both S- and P-wave contributions of the YN two-channel interaction. It is also shown that in the intermediate region between both thresholds the P-wave contributions is main.
