Abstract
A novel form of the equation describing the spin tickling effect is used in order to compare the results of the density matrix theory with the theory given by Freeman and Anderson. The conclusions of the density matrix theory are found to be close to the theory of Freeman and Anderson only in the region of stronger perturbing r.f. fields. Weaker r.f. fields comparable with the natural line width cause qualitatively different effects. Keywords
