Abstract
Volume plasmon dispersion and damping of polycrystalline Al and In films has been measured in the wave vector region kc by means of electron energy loss spectroscopy. The dispersion in both materials shows a change in the slope of the dispersion curve at wave vectors k approximately 0.5 AA-1. This probably can be attributed to bandstructure effects. Values of the dispersion and damping coefficients are given for Al and In.Keywords
