Isospin dependence of theΔ-spreading potential

The ratio of near-resonance inclusive ${\pi }^{\pm }$ scattering cross sections from the isotopic pair ${}_{}{}^{16,18}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{O}$ is shown to be consistent with an isospin dependence of the $\Delta$-spreading potential determined by intermediate coupling to the pion absorption channel.
