Abstract
The Elderly Support Project was designed to evaluate intervention procedures derived frombehavioral parent training research and adapted to teach families better home care of thementally and physically impaired elderly. Twenty-one elderly persons and their caregiversparticipated in this study. Findings supported the procedures as valuable for promotingcontinuing home care, better mental status, and improved behavior of elderly clients by offering families alternative positive responses for use with their older relatives. Keywords
