Abstract
Crystal structure of cis-diammineplatinum α-pyrrolidone violet, [Pt4(NH3)8(C4H6NO)4](PF6)2(NO3)2.56·5H2O is reported. From the results of X-ray diffraction analysis and potentiometric oxidative titration, it has been found that the compound is nonstoichiometric, being a mixture of 44% of [Pt4(NH3)8(C4H6NO)4]4+ and 56% of [Pt4(NH3)8(C4H6NO)4]5+ with the average platinum oxidation state of 2.14.This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
