Abstract
This article offers a brief review of recent health promotion and disease prevention programs conducted in Black churches and identifies benefits and limitations of conducting interventions in these settings. In addition, a review of three current studies being conducted by our group at the Emory University Rollins School of Public Health provides a discussion of a successful model for forming and maintaining effective partnerships between Black churches and public health organizations. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
