Chief Engineer, Constructional Services Limited For written discussion SYNOPSIS This Paper describes the results of a series of tests on the accelerated curing of concrete test cubes. The tests were undertaken to compare the effects of accelerated curing by boiling and heating in an oven on concrete specimens made with different brands of ordinary Portland cement and various kinds of aggregates. Two methods of boiling were used, one in which the results were obtained with seven hours of curing and a modified method by which the cubes were curednormally for 24 hoursand boiled for 33 hours...Keywords
