Z0 Boson Decays to Composite Scalars: Constraining Technicolor Theories
Abstract
LEP I data can be used to constrain technicolor models with light, pseudo-Nambu-Goldstone bosons, P. We use published limits on branching ratios and cross sections for the final states 3-photon, photon + missing energy, photon + 2 jets, missing energy + 2 jets, and 2 photons + 2 jets to constrain P-Z0-Z0 and P-Z0-photon couplings. From these results, we derive bounds on the size of the technicolor gauge group and the number of technifermion doublets in models such as low-scale technicolor.Keywords
