Abstract
State-space averaging and linearization are applied to current-injected, constant-frequency switching regulators, resulting in a generalized two-loop system representation. The boost regulator is examined in detail to show that, as a theoretical goal, wide-bandwidth, first-order behavior can be achieved with no right-half-plane zeroes. Actual performance may be limited by switching frequency interference considerations. Keywords
