Paracoccidioidomycosis in the United States

Abstract
A patient had paracoccidioidomycosis manifested by a solitary cutaneous lesion. The disease was probably contacted in South America. A review of the literature reveals that this is the ninth resident of the United States to have this disease. The clinical, microbiological, and pathologic features, as well as the therapeutic considerations, are delineated.
