Abstract
The influence of torch nozzle geometry on plasma jet properties is investigated using a non-equilibrium model. A code is developed to numerically solve the conservation equa- tions of mass, momentum and energies by means of finite difference method. The distributions of pressure, temperatures, electron density and velocities are studied for different angles and lengths of plasma torch nozzle and the possibility of generating a wide variety of plasma jets by changing the geometry of the plasma torch nozzle is demonstrated.Keywords
