Abstract
We present a technique for inverting the dielectric-response function of a superlattice in the random-phase approximation allowing for realistic superlattice eigenstates and multiple subbands. In the case of an infinite superlattice obeying cyclic boundary conditions we show how to construct an analytic expression for the inverse response function in closed form whose roots give the plasmon modes. Keywords
