Abstract
The different synthetic procedures for which diisobutylaluminium hydride and triisobutylaluminium have been shown to be the reducing agents of choice are surveyed. The special selectivity and stereoselectivity of both reagents is demonstrated. 1. Introduction and General Remarks 2. Reactions with Ethers 2.1. Aliphatic Ethers 2.2. Aromatic Ethers 2.3.
