Abstract
In this paper some scanning and processing methods for flicker free high quality TV reproduction are compared with respect to picture quality. Among these methods-which have been already published-are progressive scan reproduction by either field insertion or temporal field interpolation and a frame repetition technique. It comes out, that progressive scan reproduction by field insertion techniques is superior with respect to still and moving picture areas and with respect of chrominance/luminance separation. Keywords
