Abstract
Paraplegic and rheumatoid arthritic patients with advanced osteoporosis were studied in regard to the excretion of 11-OCS. Normal subjects manifested a 24-hr, mean excretion of 0.28 mg. The 24-hr. 11-OCS mean excretion by paraplegics was significantly elevated to 0.63 mg., and the mean excretion by patients with rheumatoid arthritis was 0.36 mg.Keywords
