Abstract
For as long as cytotoxic treatment has been used in cancer the question has been asked: Why do some patients respond to therapy and others do not? The identification and better understanding of factors predicting response to chemotherapy might also help toward understanding the basic mechanisms behind response to cytotoxic agents in malignant disease. It would also assist the clinician in selecting the right candidates for chemotherapy and spare the others from unnecessary toxicityKeywords
