Abstract
This paper presents a BASIC computer program which can assist a user in designing a two-sided X̄ control chart with adaptive features such as adaptive sample sizes, adaptive sampling intervals, or combined adaptive sample sizes and sampling intervals. The program generates the threshold limit to switch the adaptive design parameters, the mean false alarm rate, and the out-of-control average time to signal an off-target process for various magnitude of shifts as specified by the user. Keywords
