Abstract
MALIGNANT TUMORS of the salivary glands constitute approximately 1% to 3% of all head and neck malignancies and only 0.3% of all malignant neoplasms.1 Because of their relative rarity, it is often hard to quantify survival and determine prognostic factors for these tumors. Most published studies reflect institutional experiences over the course of 2 or 3 decades, with relatively small overall sample sizes.Keywords
