Schizophrenia is a highly heritable disorder that has been linked to changes in brain morphology in a wide variety of studies.1-3 These studies have shown volumetric reductions in a number of cortical regions, particularly frontal and temporal, as well as several subcortical regions, most notably hippocampus.
