Abstract
After years of relative obscurity, research on pollution-eating bugs is coming of age, as naturally occurring microbes have been tried at a few sites with some limited success. But, wary of safety issues and public reaction, the government is not about to field test any genetically modified organisms soon. Some microbiologists believe that recombinant technology is exactly what is needed to clean up the worst sites, however. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
