Abstract
Due to a steadily growing number of patients and considerable diagnostic and therapeutic advances, vascular diseases are becoming more and more important in general and clinical practice. According to their type, localisation, severity, overall prognosis and associated illnesses, various conservative and surgical measurements are used (for survey studies see Vollmar 1982; Giessler 1987). Since the beginning of the 1950s reconstructive vascular surgery has established its position through the use of artificial prosthetic tubing. Keywords
