Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Induced by Psychotropic Drugs

Abstract
Summary In two mental hospitals with a total population of 1,800 and an annual turnover of some 500 patients, ten cases of symptom-poor “possible” systemic lupus erythematosus were observed in the course of five years. In eight of these cases it was demonstrated that the syndrome was in all likelihood induced by phenothiazines.
