Abstract
Flow-coupled switching equations are derived for surface-stabilized ferroelectric liquid crystal devices, starting from Leslie, Stewart and Nakagawa's continuum theory for smectic C liquid crystals. Comparisons with nematic like dynamic equations are made.Keywords
