Abstract
Details are given of the construction of an apparatus for continuous electrophoresis on paper. By means of a flowing electrode system long periods of operation can be used without pH change on the paper. Arrangements for cooling the paper allow the technique to be applied to heat labile materials (e.g., enzymes) and also lead to more reproducible results, since evaporation of solvent from the electrolyte is eliminated. Keywords
