Abstract
A case report is given of the development of an intracranial meningioma at the site of an authentic head injury incurred 21 years previously. The available literature on the subject is reviewed. The criteria satisfying the concept of trauma being a significant aetiological factor in the production of such tumours are stated and it is shown that the meningioma reported in this paper fulfils all these criteria. The aetiology of such tumours is discussed in further detail. Keywords
