Abstract
Let and let For f ε F, there exist linear wavelet operators Lk(F, x) which are also distribution functions and where the defining mother wavelet is Φ(x). These approximate F(x) in the -norm. The degree of this approximation is estimated by establishing an Lρ Jackson type inequality. Keywords
