Abstract
Considerations leading to a complete dynamical theory of particles and hyperons are outlined. The theory exploits several points of analogy between the field and the electromagnetic field, and gives a qualitatively satisfactory description of a number of phenomena. In particular, it accounts for the variety of -particle decay modes, including those exhibiting opposite parity.
