Abstract
Flux creep for textured Bi(Pb)‐Sr‐Ca‐Cu‐O tapes was investigated by means of dc magnetization measurement. Much improvement in flux pinning is attained by the grain orientation for a Bi‐based oxide. However, flux‐pinning energy U0 in a magnetic field of 10–85 kOe is as small as 10–20 meV at 4.2 K. This value is still very small for practical use. Keywords
