Abstract
In the month of March of the present year, 1899, the Committee of the Corporation Museum, Liverpool, kindly placed at the disposal of one of us (F. G.) two living specimens of Malapterurus electricus . They were exhibited at a lecture delivered in London at the Royal Institu­tion on March 17.
