A Single-Pulse Search for Pulsars

Abstract
The Jodrell Bank Mk I telescope was used at 408 MHz to search for pulsars, using an on-line computer to display individual dispersed pulses. The technique is described, and parameters are given for JP 1933 as well as for the three pulsars, JP 1946, JP 2021 and JP 2111, discovered in the search. Some surprisingly large pulses were observed from NP 0532. No evidence of pulsar-like radiation was found in 13 suspected supernova remnants.
