Abstract
The effects of temperature and pressure on the dielectric relaxation time τ, relaxation strength Δε, distribution of relaxation time β, and shape of absorption curve of the local mode relaxation in polychlorotrifluoroethylene are discussed from the viewpoint of intermolecular interaction. Changes of τ and Δε with temperature and pressure are explainable in terms of changes in intermolecular distance. The temperature and pressure dependences of the dielectric retardation spectrum for the local mode relaxation are different from each other. Keywords
