An intelligent co-pilot - RTI as value added services to GSM

Abstract
A scenario for an in-vehicle intelligent decision support system (a co-pilot) is described. The co-pilot includes services such as navigation, route guidance, road-use charging and intelligent cruise control. The system's main philosophy is to supply all relevant and desirable information from the infrastructure to the vehicle. The driver himself selects the desired RTI-service from the available set of services, instead of being influenced by an ever increasing level of control from the public authorities.
