Spurious Peaks in Temperature Programmed Gas Chromatography

Abstract

Spurious peaks observed during temperature programmed gas chromatography have been traced to substances emanating from the flow controllers. These compounds are absorbed on the columns at low temperature and eluted later as discrete peaks during temperature programming.
