Abstract
Six cases are presented. The primary carcinoma was in the lung in 5 of the 6 cases. The 2nd case is 1 of the few cases in the literature with a solitary lesion in the brain stem in which the clinical manifestations resembled those of a primary tumor. The primary site in case 5 remained unknown for 3 1/2 years. An elevated sedimentation rate occurred in 3 cases and a polycythemia-like response in 2 instances with cerebellar metastases. The latter may be a relatively specific although uncommon feature of cerebellar tumors. Symptoms, signs anddiagnostic studies in posterior fossa metastatic tumors are discussed. This publication has 25 references indexed in Scilit:
